Biscuits for Santa

Todays Blogmas post is a part of my bake and make series and this time it comes in the form of a festive Christmas biscuits!

This recipe is from Tesco Real Food and they are sooooo easy and quick to make, perfect if you have some free time with children or just want to treat yourself to a delicious biscuits!

So here is 'Blogmas| Christmassy Biscuits'...

This recipe is from Tesco Real Food, no copyright intended.

Makes 24
Preparation time: 20mins
Cooking time: 15mins
Cooling time: 15mins

Ingredients:

225g (8oz) self-raising flour
1/2tsp each of ground cinnamon and ground ginger
115g (4oz) caster sugar
115g (4oz) Stork packet
1 medium egg, beaten

What to do now

Start by preheating the oven to 180°C (160°C fan oven, Gas Mark 4).
Mix the flour, spices and sugar in a large bowl. Add the Stork and rub in using your fingers. Add a beaten egg and mix into a stiff dough. Knead lightly and roll out on a floured surface until it’s about 5mm (¼ inch) thick.
Cut into Christmassy shapes. I hand cut Christmas trees and stockings, whilst using a star shaped cut out and a scalloped edged circle cutter. Place onto baking trays that have been lightly greased with Stork. Pop them in the oven for about 15 minutes, until golden brown.
Leave the biscuits to cool on a rack. Dust with a little icing sugar and decorate with whatever takes your fancy.

And the tasty biscuits...

I love how simple these are to prepare, cook and then decorate. I used marshmallows as the fluff of the stockings, silver balls as Christmas tree baubles, green glitter as the tree's and wreath's colour and red balls as little berries for the wreath.
Like I said before, these are so good if you have kids or something to make yourself on your day off!
These are definitely biscuits even Santa would want to see when he visits your house!
Until tomorrow
