A magically festive York

I love visiting places in the UK. Why go abroad when there are sooo many places to travel too on your doorstep [kinda]. York is no exception to this as it is such a beautiful city.

A couple of days ago, my mother and I went on a little day trip to the historic city and by golly gosh, it as even more magical than usual! With the Christmas up and the pretty festive lights everywhere, it was such a lovely sight!

So get ready for a magically festive York...

After arriving in this wonderful city, we headed off to the usual adorable place, Betty's. I adore Betty's for a number of reasons, they do amazing food/drinks and it is such a lovely traditional tearoom [a must for any visit to York]. Then we went off to explore the delights of the cobbled streets and into the array of shops, both well known brands and independent.

This lead us onto to the beautiful York Minster, it is such a architecturally pleasing landmark, with its gothic features and beautiful wooden doors. I am a sucker for a pretty building like and this has got to be one of my favourites easily!
Even got a cheeky selfie with my gorgeous mother too, not that you can see the Minster behind us but ah well haha!

Heading back towards Betty's [it's our fave okay haha], there was such a cute Christmas tree outside it. It did look so pretty with its lights sparkling!
Strolling along the road, there was such a festive Christmas market on the main street of York, I think the street is Parliament street but could be wrong, 99% certain it is though! There was such a variety of different stalls, from campers vans serving food and mulled wine to the little hut stalls, selling everything from lovely chocolate, hats and Christmas decorations to bits n bobs and pork pies, it was a pleasure going round it and got us in the Christmas spirit!
Finally we called to our favourite place again [I told you it was] for a nice hot chocolate to end our marvellous day trip to the stunning city! How splendidly perfect!
And there we have it, what a magic and festive place York is at this time of the year!
See you tomorrow
