Happy 9th Birthday Clotpole

Today marks a day that made me believe in magic again. Throwback to a normal September night in 2008, BBC One was about to air a very special TV show, that would grow to be a very much loved international show. The show's name... Merlin!

Now, if you have been reading my blog for a while now, you will know how much this show means to me. Let me just say it got me out of a very very dark place. During it's five series and 65 amazing episodes, we went on adventures with Merlin, played by my love, Colin Morgan, and Prince [later King] Arthur, played by Bradley James!

Filled with laughter, jumps and pure happiness, here are my favourite episode from each series.

Are you ready for this magical adventure?

The bitterly sweet smell of Halloween

Halloween is my favourite day of the year, there is no doubt about it. From carving pumpkins, going trick or treating to getting dressed up and scaring friends/family, it is such a fabulous spooky day and I love it.

Ok so it might only be September still but with a month [well just over] to go until the spootaculous day, I have a small post today and it is all about making people fall in love with your deadly scent, courtesy of Primark, no less.

One should enter if one is ready for the bitterly sweet smell of Halloween...

Moving on and growing up

Over the past couple of weeks now, certain things in my life have become that little bit clearer. My life is still an absolute mess as I have no idea what I am doing my life and what I am suppose to do with my life but that's ok.

There will always be negative energy coming from somewhere in your life, whether it is other people, social media or even from yourself, it is there. Most likely it will always be there. But it is what you do with that negative energy that makes the difference.

It all starts with moving on and growing up...

Purses for an Enchanted Rose

If you hadn't guessed it yet with all the posts I've been publishing recently about it, I am a maaaaaaaaaassive Beauty and the Beast fan, like it is my favourite Disney film and one of my favourite films ever.

So when Primark announced they were releasing a special range of BATB items, well I died a little inside, thank youuuuuuu Primark!

Their most popular item in the collection being that adorable £5 Chip mug and even though I haven't managed to pick one up, I do have people looking for me [thanks guys!] but they have brought out some other absolute beauties. With the Mrs Potts teapot and money box and some other things in the perfect range coming out later this month/year, I did manage to pick up these three adorable purses that were definitely on the top of my list!

Cast your eyes on these beauties...

I can hear autumnal wedding bells

Friday marked the last wedding I attended of 2017, sad sad times I know! It was such a beautiful day, filled with laughter, happiness and love and a deliciously tangy lemon tart that I could have eaten all day.

Since it was such a special occasion, I planned my outfit well in advance [and I mean WELL in advance, January this year to be precise] and because I am in love with it, I thought I would share this autumnal outfit with you all today.

Throwback to when I heard autumnal bells in a pretty outfit...

Songs for a chilled Sunday afternoon

I don't know about you, but I find Sundays are the day for relaxing and doing nothing, ready for the week ahead. Whether you have a film marathon or bake some delicious treats or blogging [Sundays are my blogging day], whatever really, there is no doubt about me having a some music on during the day.

Due to this, I have came up with this little playlist for you to enjoy listening to, whatever you are doing. There will be a variety of bands and genres but they all have one thing in common, they are relaxing. Well, I find them relaxing but this is me we are on about haha!

So here are some songs for a chilled Sunday afternoon...

Only good vibes here

PMA, that is my life's motto. Positive mental attitude. However, sometimes [who am I kidding, most of the time], it is hard to have a positive outlook on life.

We try to remember the people who make us laugh or the little things that make us smile, but sometimes I like to read quotes that make me appreciate all what life has to offer, both the good and the bad. Due to this, here are 10 quotations about life that pick me up when I am down.

Warning, there are only good vibes here...

Why I love myself

Ok so the post title may make you think 'Caz, isn't that slightly big headed like calm down' but no, I do love myself. After years of hating the body and life I was in, I am starting to love my flaws/negativity and it feels amazing.

I am not a cocky person, never have and never will be, and I don't go around boasting about myself and saying 'ooo look at me', I am the complete and utter opposite to that. But I have realised how good it feels sharing achievements and celebrating them with people. Sometimes you do have to boast a little, even if it is waaaaaaaaay out of your comfort zone.

Due to this, I am here with a list of things I have achieved in my almost 23 years of existence but also why I have finally started to love myself.

And here we go...

Gotta love a Primark Haul

I have been taking a break from blogging these past two weeks, not because I am stressed or anything, but just because I have been spending some much needed time with my family and friends. After these past two weeks, it has shown me how much I value and appreciate people I have in my life and everything they have done for me.

However, it has also shown me how huge blogging is in my life, I felt so lost without writing post ideas etc. But my blog is back (back again, guess who's back, back, tell a friend...) and I have a little Primark haul for you all because who doesn't love this high street shop!

It has a little bit of everything, from clothing and an accessory to me fangirling over some pretty funky things, you have been warned!

So get ready to treat yourself...

A cute lil' teacup

A fashion post today and it is the best kind of outfit purely because of one thing. It involves Disney! Therefore it is the best!

Anyway, if you didn't know already, I loveeee Beauty and The Beast, it is my favourite Disney film and one of my favourite motion pictures ever. Recently, I published a fashion/fangirl post all about one of my favourite characters, the little adorable teacup Chip, and well I am back with another thing that has his cute face on!

So getting ready for some more Chip...

Did someone say film marathon

I don't know about you guys but I love having a good old film marathon on my days off, nothing quite beats lazing on the sofa, snuggled up in a nice warm blanket and not move for hours whilst crying over fictional characters. Nothing quiet like it!

Due to this, I have came up with these films that I absolutely love and have watched sooooo many times that even god doesn't know how many! I have tried to separate the films out into a genre, to give you a bit of variety, and I have included the description on the back of the DVD so you get an outline of the films as well!

So get ready for lights, camera and action...

Why I am SICK of blogging

Before you start to cry with utter sadness [hahahahahahaha], this blog and I ain't going anywhere, you don't get rid of me that easily guys! But honestly, I am getting sick of blogging in some aspects!

If you follow me on twitter then you will probably of seen my massive rant I did a few months ago, that wasn't supposed to be a rant but it totally was a rant about how blogging has changed for the worse recently. It has become far to focused on stats and popularity and not about the passion and the person behind the post.

For three years now, I have had this little space on the internet. I set my blog up so I could get rid of some feelings that were holding me back and I haven't looked back since! It is a part of me, whether I have it for the next 10 years or not, it will always hold a special place in my heart because of everything it has given me. From meeting incredible people and finding a passion in life to finding myself and gaining so much confidence, unfortunately things have changed in blogging.

I admit to the fact that I am sick of blogging...

Culotte me out

First up, I apologise for that terrible pun [check me out, culotte me out], I know, it's terrible but I am rolling with it ok!

Now that that is done, on with today's post and if you haven't guessed already, it is a fashion post featuring this bad boy. The bad boy meaning them funky culottes!

My first ever pair of this fashion item and I am sooo in complete and utter love with them. From the floral pattern to the range of bold colours, I have came up with this lil' outfit because why the hell not!

So are you ready to check these beauties out...

Life is good

Life is a beautifully odd thing isn't. You never know what is just around the corner and if it's a good thing or a bad thing. Tis a mystery but that's what makes life so thrilling.

After a lot of crappy things happening during my 22 years, life is actually starting to look up for me personally and that obviously makes me so very very happy.

Due to this overwhelming feeling of pure happiness, something I haven't experienced in my life before, I wanted to do this post to write down all of the things that are bringing a massssssssssssive smile on my face!

So prepare for a sprinkle of happiness...

Ignore the numbers

Numbers are a part of daily life. Setting your clock, how many chocolates I can eat before I cannot move, shoes sizes, number of followers you have and so on. However, sometimes we just focus too much on that and forget about other things in life too.

I speak from experience in this. There was always a certain number that scared the crap out of me and even though I am tackling it now, it still does to this day.

And this is why I have started to ignore the numbers...

Going to the chapel...

And I'm not going to get marrrried! However, I do have a killer Spring/Summer outfit for you if you are attending a wedding!

Last Saturday, I travelled down to Hitchin [yeah, I didn't know where it is either] to see my cousin get married, with their wedding taking place a week ago today! After deciding on what outfit I would like for his big day, it was then trying to find it and at a reasonable price [I need to stop treating myself]!

After searching high and low for the perfect dress, I actually found one in January [read about it here] but this dress, ooooooh this dress, I had me eyes on for a while, it was too expensive for me, but BUUUUUUT I found it in the sale and my other wedding outfit went completely out the window because I am so in love with this dress!!!! And breatheeee!

So here is my final outfit...

Over the rainbow

Highlighter, you either love it or hate it. A bit like marmite really. If you have a cracking pair of cheekbones then lucky you, I am jealous!

If you are like me then you probably think you can't use this beauty product as well you can't highlight chubby cheeks. Well screw them cheeks because everyone needs rainbow highlighter in their life!

At a bargain price [and I mean a bargain], this is easily one of my favourite beauty products I own and believe me, I own a lot!

Now this is the pot of gold at the end of the highlighter rainbow...

My top five favourite...

A nice, light hearted post today and I thought it would be nice to publish a 'getting to know me a bit more' post.

I love reading blogs but I enjoy getting to know the blogger even more. No one wants to read a blog that is full of things the blogger themselves wouldn't read or one that doesn't have any of the blogger's personality in the content and design etc etc.

And that is why I have come up with this little post, filled with me fangirling over many of my top five things. From my music taste and what TV shows/films I am obsessed with to my favourite flowers and many more, expect a lot of fangirling!

So here is my top five favourite...

Dear future partner...

Oooooo so I have been looking forward to posting this since Valentine's Day. Why, you maybe asking. Because it is a letter to my future partner and it was on the day of loveeeeeeeee when I wrote it so this is probably going to be allll soppy, highly unlike me!

Now I wish I could take credit for coming up with post idea but I stole it form one of the most amazing bloggers I know, Meg, who blogs at Meg Rees. Now before you think/say anything, I did ask Meg if it was ok for me to do one as well as I do know some bloggers who hate it when people take their ideas etc without asking [me included], it is understandable, and being the lovely lady she is, she let me! [Thankkkkk youuuu].

So here we are...

A vintage daydream

Another day, another wedding outfit! I have four weddings [most are the receptions though] this year and one next year! Two down, three to go!

I know how much you love looking at my lovely wardrobe, don't lie, you do haha, so this outfit was what I wore for the second wedding I went to! You will already know this if you follow me on Twitter as I posted an awkward photo of myself wearing it.

Skirts make me sooooo happy, they make me feel pretty and cute and you can never have too many skirts, right?! Especially if they are vintage [inspired] or a beautiful, bold pattern, and perfect for a special occasion like a wedding do.

This is what a vintage daydream looks like...

A year since graduating

Yesterday marked the day that one year ago I became a BA (Hons) graduate in journalism. This day is such an important one for me as I finally knew what it was like to be proud of myself. It was honestly such a perfect day, filled with a lot of cap throwing and a massive splash of pure happiness. These past 365 days have been, well, a blooming rollercoaster ride, with some very low lows but even higher highs.

Since 19th July 2016, things have be put into perspective for me and I have well and truly changed my life but also my outlook on the world and how to live.

Due to this, I wanted to share a few things with you all. Things I didn't like I would ever believe/think a year ago, never mind to type them on here.

Well, here I go...

How Blogging changed my life

I am just rolling out the personal posts this year aren't I! But in all seriousness, I enjoy writing them [although they are so flipping hard to do] and I like reading them on other blogs. You get to know the person behind the website and realise that they aren't a robot writing a blog but a person, who may or may not be going through the same things that you are.
Since becoming a blogger, all those many moons ago now, I have gained so much confidence in myself and finally started to love me for me. This is mainly down to this blog.
Throwback to my very first blog design and name!
Random fact for you all, my blog was originally called The Adventures of Caroline and the name has been changed a total of five times... Indecisive or what! But honestly I wouldn't be the person I am today without it. Now, I wrote this post for Mind as a guest blogger a few months ago but I thought I would share it on my little space too and I have edited it a bit!
However, blogging did change my life...

I'm going Chip mad

Beauty and The Beast is my all time favourite Disney film like it is such a fabulous film with such an important message! Anyway, Chip is one of my faves in the very much loved film and well, I am going Chip mad!

With the likes of Primark and of course the Disney Store bring out a ton of merch to celebrate the recent live action film of BATB, it makes me so happy to see all of the products I can't have hahahaha! The pain is realll.

Anyway, I did manage to get my hands on a few bits n bobs with the adorable little cup on it so I thought why not do a bit of a fangirl post and share them with you all! This will also include an adorable outfit [if I do say so myself] so expect a lot of photos in this!

Ready to get Chip mad with me...

My bucket list

Everyone has a bucket list right?! Things we wanna do, places we wanna visit, people we wanna meet/see, bucket lists are very satisfying to have, especially ticking the things off once you have done it.

As something different on my blog today, I have came up with my bucket list, including things I have done and dusted, with many I haven't yet done!

Believe me, there are a lot of things I want to do on mine...

The Bosworth Adventures, part 2

We have had part one of my Bosworth Adventures and now it is time for final part, I know it is a sad time! I have had such a blast writing these two posts but most importantly going through the many hundreds of photos and remembering the memories!

The last three days were filled with more exploring, a lot of photo taking and tea room findings because you cannot have enough cake and cute vintage interior in your life.

So here is the final part of the big ol' adventure...

Some exci-tea-ing news!

If you didn't know already, I love tearooms! They are little spaces of pure joy, where you can find delicious cakes, a variety of tea flavours I didn't know existed and adorable teacups/teapots I want to steal for my non existent home.

And I decided to create something a little bit different than my usual posts and blog.
Drum roll please...

Get that holographic vibe

A beauty post for you all today and we haven't had one for a while have we! But I am back with a lip kit review! I know, I know, I need to stop buying lip kits, lipsticks, and basically, any lip product but one more can't hurt the collection.

Later this month I am going to a festival and when I saw this funky holographic lip kit in Primark, I knew I had to get it for it, it just screams festival vibes! I mean how class is the purple and who doesn't love a bit of glitter!

Definitely getting that holographic vibe...

The Bosworth Adventures, part 1

Last week, from Monday 26th to Friday 30th June, I went on a little adventure down south, to Bosworth to be precise. With my suitcase packed and my camera ready and raring to get snapping, I was so excited to go on this 5 day holiday, with my mother and nanna, as I love exploring new places.

This was the first holiday I have been on where we travelled by coach, normally it is via train because it is my favourite transport. However, I would definitely go on another one as I really enjoyed going form place to place on the coach, surprisingly!

One of the places I visited, find out where later on in the post!
Due to the fact that I had such a blast over them days, I thought I would do a little journal type post on my adventure but splitting them into two parts. The first one, this post, will be on the first two days and the second part will be on the last three. I will warn you that they will be a long couple of posts, with a lot of photographs.

Without further ado, let the adventure begin...

Dear body...

Another day, another 'Dear' style post! I am thoroughly enjoying writing these, it is such a great way to let go of all my feelings and thoughts about things and about people in my life and it is such a breathe of fresh air really.

Today's post is no different as I am letting go of my thoughts surrounding my body. I have actually had this post in my drafts for months now as I was too scared to publish it. Basically, I just wasn't ready to share it with you all. However, I recently read another Dear Body post and honestly, it gave me the courage to finally share it and well here we are!

Get ready for a rollercoaster ride...

Just before I begin with this post, I am going on holiday tomorrow for 5 days so I will not be posting on here for the next week, see you next Sunday!

I am just rolling out the blogger tags this year, aren't I! I haven't been this popular before! But honestly, thanks to every blogger who has tagged me to do one of these, you all know by now how much I love doing this type of post!

Anyway, on with todays blogging tag and this time I was tagged by the lovely Melissa, from the amazing Love Melissa blog! It is allll about getting to know the person behind the blog more as we have to answer questions about a lot of different things actually!

So get to know me more as I answer 50 questions...

Anyone for some tissue paper pompoms?

Recently I published a letter to my blog to celebrate it's third birthday, how exciting hey! The photo accompanying that said post included a big, colourful '3' that I had made from scratch for the special occasion and because I enjoyed making it so much, I thought I would share how I created it!

Honestly, they are sooooo easy to make and you can create almost anything probably! You don't need a lot of things to make them as well, most are found in your house!

So let us crack on with pompom making...

Putting the zest into Summer

A recipe for you today and this is perfect for summer! A lemon meringue pie... In cake form. YESSSSSS! This is refreshing, easy to make and although a bit time consuming [you do need plenty of time to make this if you are going to make all the bits n bobs], this cake is delicious with a nice cold drink and you sitting outside, enjoying a sunny day.

Now, I did make the lemon curd and the tiny meringues as well, you can always buy them in if you only have time to bake the cake.

Anyway, I will include all three recipes [one for each the cake, lemon curd and meringues] so just bare with this post as it will be a long one!

So let us begin...

Happy 3rd B(log)irthday| A letter to my blog

So today marks three years of Call Me Caz. Well, that is incorrect in the fact that my little space on the internet was originally called The Adventures of Caroline then The Vintage Daydream then Geek meets Chic then Cheer Up Buttercup then Ayrana Rose and then this. I mean I knew I was indecisive but not that much!

I made this cute, little, colourful '3' to celebrate!!!
However, I have a lot to be thankful for due to this blog and wanted to write something a bit different to what I did for it's first birthday and second birthday so I thought I would write a letter instead. Bit weird I know but it just feels right.

So here is my letter to my blog...

Top three female characters (TV)

We have had my three fave male ones and now it is time for some girl power, with my top three favourite tv show female characters.

Like the other post stated, I have a lot of favourite characters [I watch so much tv, it is bad] but these females are badass and I love them so much!

So here are my three favourite kickass women on the telly...

Why I am done being single

On Sunday night, I decided to download Tinder on my tablet. If you don't know what Tinder is, it is a dating app that shows you all the people in your area that are on it. It goes through Facebook [you sign in with your account] and you swipe left [for no] or right [for like] and it comes up if you have matched with the person. You can then send a message if you want to. I use it for a good laugh me haha!

Anyway, it got me thinking about my non existent relationship history. I have always been single really. I mean I've had a couple on/off relationships but nothing that has lasted for more than a month or so. For starters, I am ok with this, it doesn't bother me one bit in fact. I think society has made us all too well aware of us having to be in relationships and if you haven't/aren't in one, then you are probably unattractive and you should sort that out asap.

The thing is, for 22 years, I have enjoyed being this single, independent girl who didn't need no man to take care of her and treat her like a princess, like that ain't me. I published a post on why I think I am single so that expands on this. But as much as I love being single, I do want to be with someone now.

I'll warn you that this maybe a long post, oopsy, but I have just kinda written everything down that I have been feeling recently and just letting it all go!

Because, as of now, I am done with being single and here is why...

Sunday, 11 June 2017

Dear Michael,

How to do an introduction for my 400th post. To be true, I can't. No amount of words will ever really explain what this post really is but here I am. Yeah, it is a letter but something is different with this one when compared to my others ones I have published.

Now, you will probably be wondering who Michael is. He isn't an ex, he isn't a friend, he isn't even alive. He is my big brother. My big brother who sadly was never alive. He was a stillborn.

This photo is my own.
I recently read a post by the lovely Beth, on her amazing Polished Couture blog, about the loss of her big brother and why she doesn't class herself as an only child. Just to be clear, her big brother was not a stillborn but I did relate to her post. It was so beautifully written [please, please read her post] but gosh, it brought up some really hard feelings surrounding Michael. Now, I have two other older brothers, I say I have one though but that is a different story completely but it is hard when people ask if I have any siblings, knowing that I have three older brothers.

There are more than 3,600 stillbirths in the UK every year [stat from NHS] and I wanted to write this post, not for sympathy [farrrr from that] but to try and raise awareness of stillbirths. My mum doesn't really talk about Michael, she has told me about him but I don't really know a lot, that is understandable, but there is not a day that goes by where I don't think about him and what could of been if he was here.

Due to this, I have decided to write him a letter so here it is...

The Self Love Tag

I say it every time I do one of these posts and I will continue to say it, I love doing blogging tags! I just adore reading them as I love getting to know the person behind the blog more and I proper enjoy writing them as you get to know me more [or at least I hope you do].

Photo from Lucy
This tag is a bit special as a lovely blogger I know has created this wonderful tag, Lucy, from Just Lucy's Life. I kinda feel honoured in a way as I am one of the first people to be tagged in this and I honestly hope this catches on because I think it is marvellous.

Now time to spread a bit of positivity around with The Self Love Tag...

I'm like a bird...

Before you read this post, I just want to take a moment to think about those affected by the attacks in London and Manchester. My thoughts and love are with everyone who has been affected! The One Love Manchester concert, that happened on Sunday night, was just simply and absolutely beautiful.
Love will always win.

I know, I am singing the song too, it is such a tuneeeeee though ain't it! Today I have a little outfit post for you all and I am proper just loving doing fashion posts at the moment! Really enjoy creating looks, wearing whatever I want and also finding little beauties in town!

Anyway, back with the post! Normally I am not one for denim skirts. Although I have about three, I find they hug in all the wrong places but this one, yesssssssss, this one is definitely my favourite purely because of one thing.

That bird embroidery...

Hello, my name is Caroline

Over this past week or so, I have been looking back at how far I have come as a person and how I have changed since being a wee little 11 year old, starting secondary school to the 22 year old woman I am now.

Like most people on this planet, I have been through mostly crappy times during my time on Earth but these past seven days have made me realise that hello, my name is Caroline and I am proud of who I am.

So this is me, brown haired, blue eyed me...

Why it's ok to be a teetotaler

At the ripe old age of 22, I am a teetotaler. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol (unless I want to -which is very rare- or it's for a special occasion), most of the time I get people saying 'you are sooooo boring' and 'why don't you ever come out', especially whilst I was at college a few years ago.

Society has portrayed how certain age groups have to be like or are like specific things. From 18 years old and onwards, we should be going out, getting drunk, having fun. I like to do these things, minus the middle.

Due to the fact I am sick and tired of people saying I'm boring because I don't like to get hammered, I am here writing this post here.

Five places you should visit in the UK

The UK is full of hidden beauties. Who needs to travel abroad when you have amazing places in your home country! There are sooooooooo many places I wish to visit in the country and I will get to eventually travel to all the places on my super long list one day... Hopefully!!

However, over my 22 years of living, I have been privileged to visit some purely splendid places in my home nation and well, I thought I would tell you why you should visit these five places in the UK, one being in the main pictureeeee!

Prepare to be amazed at how wonderfully marvellous these places are...

Awesome Blogger Tag

Today's post is a blogger tag and I am sooooo excited for it! I haven't done the Awesome Blogger Tag before so when the lovely Melina, from her blog I've Found Waldo, nominated me to do it, I was thrilled!

Thank you Melina for tagging me in this, it was so much fun to do and the questions made me think about things, whilst spreading a bit of positivity and fun!

So let us get on with the today's blogger tag...

Dear friends...

Another day, another Dear... post. I just love writing these, as stated before in previous ones. It gives me a chance to write whatever is on my mind about something or someone and just let it all go.

Today's one is for a number of people that I hold most dear in the world. My friends. Growing up, I wasn't in the popular crowd. I wasn't friends with people just so I could say 'ooo I have so many mates', I was friends with others because I liked and appreciated them as human beings.

Friendships come and go, that's life, but these people have been with me through the thick and thin and I don't know where I would be without them. So featuring some really old photographs and some soppy words, here I am.

Here is my letter to you, my friends...

Top three male characters (TV)

Being a professional fangirl and all certainly comes with its ups and down (mainly ups though). You become involved in the story, ship two characters so hard it hurts [yes, I am looking at you Merthur] and you just fall in love with people in it. And then they end up either alone or they die.

There are sooooo many characters I love on TV, too many to even begin to tell you the precise figure. However, these three in particular are definitely my favourite, for very different reasons. Today I am focusing on male TV show characters but don't worry, there will be a female version post coming up as well!

So here are my favourite gentlemen on the small screen...

Why I am putting down my mobile phone

In today’s society, technology is everywhere. There is really no escaping it. Our generation is the generation where the world has come on leaps and bounds technology wise and it has given people so many opportunities because of it. From watches that you can call people on to your phone actually talking back to you, it is crazy how far we have come in the past 50 odd years.

However, due to this, we have just been staring at the world through a screen and I am no expectation to this. This is why I have started to put down my iPhone 4 [shout out to the oldies] and starting doing this and actually living in the real world and not online for once.

A splash of [pastel] colour

I love pastel colours, they are hands down my favourite! So of course pastel colour clothing are automatically the best.

Due to this and the fact that it is actually nice outside for once, I have came up with this little outfit that is just a splash of pastel colour!

So let us begin...

A makeup studio heaven blogger event

On Thursday 11th May, I attend a blogger event and it was so much fun. Hosted by the lovely Amanda Bell, it was set in her brand new and very beautiful makeup studio in Norton!

It was such a lovely event! I got to see some of my favourite bloggers and have a much needed catch up and got to meet new bloggers, which is always nice!

Because I had such a fab time on Thursday night, I thought I would share some snaps I took of the pretty studio! Get ready for every blogger's dream studio for blog photos.

A fabulous bright and white studio...

A splendid birthday trip out

Yesterday was one of the best days ever. Before you ask, it wasn't my birthday yesterday. However, it was my amazing mother's special day and it was just beautiful. After finishing work at 11:45am and getting back home 45 minutes later, I decided to make her a cute, spontaneous afternoon tea to celebrate her big day!

As soon as she walked in at 14:18 precisely, my mum goes, 'you know what I would love to do Caroline, I would love to go to Great Ayton and just relax for my birthday'. Awkwardly saying, 'oh well, look what I did for ya' and her being so overwhelming happy [which made me cry because it makes me so unbelievably happy to see her happy], we actually packed it all up, dropped it off at my nanna's and went to Great Ayton. Due to this, I thought I would create a photograph based post today and share some snaps I took yesterday because they just fill me with happiness!

It really was such a splendid birthday trip out...

Me, my insecurities and I

Since setting up my little space on the good old internet, I have let go of things that had got me down and were holding me back. Personal posts are one of my favourite things to write and even read. Don't get me wrong, they are proper hard to write and even harder to publish but I like to express myself as well as reading about other people's opinions on areas that may or may not affect me. They makes us human.
From my bullying experience to liking myself to many others, I have come along way since my first ever post but I still have a lot of insecurities.

I don't know why I thought this might work, but I thought that by writing -typing- them down, it would kinda help me focus on them and seeing if I can overcome them.

Due to this, I have come up with this honest list of my insecurities...

Tips for a Spring cleaned wardrobe

With Spring in full bloom, it means that the flowers are saying hello, the sun [hopefully] is shining and well, the Spring/Summer wardrobe comes out after half a year of being shoved to the back of the closet.

I don't know about you, but I love a good Spring cleaning session. A day where you just get rid of the clutter in your house and treat yourself to some bits n bob. There gives me no greater pleasure than getting rid of them 'Oh I am sure I will wear this again' clothing items, that, let's face it, I won't wear again.

However, sometimes [most of the time] we wake up and think 'not today' when it comes to cleaning out our wardrobes and well, this is where this post comes in. In collaboration with Dia & Co [I have NOT been paid for this to clarify], I was totally up for this collab as it got me thinking about sorting out my overly filled wardrobe.

So here some tips to get your wardrobe looking Spring ready...
